The Federation of Humanity

The Federation of Humanity was founded on June 21, 2026, with a simple purpose: to explore and build better ways for human beings to live together, relate to the Earth, use technology, resolve conflict, and shape the conditions inherited by future generations.

Its origins, however, began before the Federation existed as an organization.

They began with The Samith.

The Samith

The Samith is not a religion, philosophy, doctrine, or institution. It is the name given within the written work to the total environment of existence: the whole within which all things exist, all lives unfold, all choices are made, and all possibilities reside.

The Samith is an attempt to describe that reality and humanity’s relationship to it.

From that understanding came a practical question. If human beings are participants within a reality larger than themselves, and if our choices continually affect one another and the world around us, what should that understanding mean for the way we actually live?

That question gradually moved beyond the written work. It raised questions about the form of our cities, the systems upon which human life depends, our relationship with technology and the natural world, the ways nations and peoples resolve conflict, and the responsibility each generation carries toward those that follow it.

The Federation emerged from the effort to pursue those questions in practice.

The relationship between the Federation and the Samith is therefore one of origin rather than doctrine. The Federation does not claim ownership of the Samith, nor does participation in the Federation require adherence to a belief system. The written work preceded the organization and helped give rise to the principles and questions from which it developed.

The Founder

The Federation was founded by the author of The Samith, who writes publicly under the name Aider.

The name is chosen and means simply helper.

Aider remains anonymous by design. The decision is intended to keep attention on the work of the Federation rather than on the identity, appearance, personal history, or personality of its founder. The value of the Federation’s work should ultimately be judged by its ideas, its conduct, and what it is able to accomplish.

Anonymity is not intended to make the Federation secretive. The organization itself should remain open to examination, and its aims, development, and public work should be presented as clearly as possible.

As the Federation grows, it must become something larger than the individual who initiated it. Its future will depend upon the people who contribute to it, challenge it, improve it, and eventually carry its work into places its founder could never reach alone.
